The members of the ABWA chapter in Summerville, a growing professional women’s organization, wished to have a website that would provide information and assistance to non-members as well as inform women of the organization’s purpose and attract new members. The chapter also desired to use the site as a central communications channel for members; providing meeting updates, opportunity to make advance reservations for meetings and professional workshops and links to members’ websites. In addition, the organization needed a way to display their sponsors logos.
CBS Web Designs developed a website based on WordPress as a CMS (content management system), allowing the organization to meet and exceed their initial specifications, all within their moderate budget. The site includes all the requested functionality as well as subscription management, a Flickr photo feed, the chapter’s blog news, information about members and articles of interest to business women.
Shortly following launch, the site was selected as a SCIWAY.net site of the day.
